❝ It was craziness. Amor deliria nervosa. Sometimes I think that maybe they were right all along the people on the other side in Zombieland. Maybe it would be better if we didn't love.[..] But how could anyone who's ever seen a summer - big explosions of green and skies lit up electric with splashy sunsets, a riot of flowers and wind that smells like honey - pick the snow? ❞
In this short story, we get to hear Alex's story of what happened after he got shot. We also get to learn a bit about his past.
I was really fond of him and I wish this story was longer. Like with the other short povs, the story is lacking: we fill in certain gaps, but not the ones that would have mattered more. I wanted to hear his thoughts when she found out that Lena was alive and in love with someone else. Man that cliffhanger in the second book was nasty!
